Most Instagrammed Dishes of 2015

It is no longer a question of being in the right place at the right time. With smart phones at our disposal, we were born with the advantage of creating content that could go viral within the palms of our hands. Food on Instagram grew even more in 2015 and there were certain dishes that dominated.

By Chloe: Vegan Salads & Avocado Toast

Chloe Coscarelli made her big break on Cupcake Wars, where she won with the first vegan cupcake. This year, By Chloe was born in Greenwich Village and she is taking on the NYC restaurant scene by storm – By Chloe is already expected to open two new locations in the beginning of 2016. The dishes from By Chloe are beautiful and delicious – from salads to avocado toast; they are all equally Instagram worthy. 

Fuku: Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich

Momofuku went to an even higher level this year by opening Fuku, the casual fried chicken spot in the East Village.  Their specialty, the spicy fried chicken sandwich.

Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer: Everything

Opening in May 2015, Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer has become a household name. At this rate we are unsure if the milkshakes or burgers have been Instagrammed more. Their famous milkshakes include flavors like Cotton Candy, Cookie Dough & Oreo and creative burgers are inclusive of The Pizza Burger, The Korean BBQ, & The Rueben. And we are thinking , What is Chef Joe Isidori going to come up with next?!

Carbone: The Spicy Rigatoni

The Spicy Rigatoni – spicy, addictive, rich. Really, no explanation needed.

Prince Street: Square Pepperoni Pizza

Prince Street pizza is a hole in the wall pizza place joint. If you don't know it’s famous, you may walk right by without even knowing it. At Prince Street everyone comes for the square pepperoni pizza. Go get it!

Sadelles: Bagel & Lox Tower

HOT BAGELS!... Is what you hear when dining at Sadelle’s. Many thought NYC didn't have room for another bagel restaurant. We soon learned that Sadelle’s was much more. The ambiance and bagel towers were all over Instagram instantly and everyone wanted in on this new “classic” New York brunch.

10 Below Ice Cream: Rolled Ice Cream

An ice cream technique that comes right from the streets of Thailand – cool! Rolling each ice cream to order, 10 Below flavors include S’mores Galore, Key Lime Pie & Cookies Monster.

Emily: The Emmy Burger & Pizza

We are calling it the year of Emily. The Emmy Burger & Emmy Pizza has gained its fame for its delicious cheddar cheese sauce. Not to mention that on the pizza there are bits of hamburger.
